You are welcome - I thought the Dalek was really cute and liked that you took the time to make a tutorial for this :)

:squee: This is so awesome!!! I'll HAVE to try this out when I get some beading supplies!!

By the way, are 'flitters' those little round black things? If they are, then we call them 'sequins' in English :3

Is there a certain amount of beads needed to create this? CB

okay, so there 86 your-choice-color, 32 black, 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 big black, 3 flitters, 6 cut-hay beads, plus the ones from inside on the pin (1 big black, 2 black, 8your-choice-color) plus some for back up, i think i've lost the material for a whole thing while doing all these stuff

anyway, it needs a real small amount of material (i have beads in a 10g packing and still haven't used 1/5 for a dalek =))

I'm sorry to say that even as a (reasonably) experienced beader, this makes very little sense, because you have neglected to mention the sizes/colours/specs of the beads you used, and your diagrams are difficult to understand. Perhaps in future if you colourcoded each end of the thread, that would make it more friendly...

i'm sorry about that, but my main reason is that these things are called differently in my language than in english, so with just 'translating' the words i'd got nowhere, and i couldn't find they're names in english (well, a few, like head pin, what we call 'repairer stick' so things are a bit off)
so, the beads used for the body are 2mm diameter, the black ones are a bit bigger ~2,5 mm; for the ears and parts of the arms and the eyepiece i used silver/seen-through 'cut hay bead' (once again no idea) for the ends of the arms and the eyepiece 2 mm beads again (black, silver and gold) the 2 big beads are 4mm in diameter

i hope that helps =)

oh, and seeing as you are an english person, could you help me out with my vocab? pretty please?

it's just so incredible that you are talented enough to create your own - very realistic - pattern of a dalek for something as fiddly as beading x
